Virginia Ayala 77 of Lakeland, formerly of Immokalee, passed away July 9, 2020 in Lakeland, Florida.

Ms. Virginia was born to father Benito Arredondo and mother Lazara Rodriguez Arredondo March 20, 1943 in Donna, Texas. She married the love of her life "Blackie" Ayala until his passing in 1995. She then spent all her time and love on her children and grandchildren. She was known as a great cook.  Whenever family or anyone that was having an event needed food, they ALWAYS asked her to make her famous Puerto Rican Rice.  Mrs. Ayala was known as a great cook and would always have a smile on her face that lite up her eyes.

Virginia is survived by her three children: Elizabeth "Lisa" Nichols, Cristella "Christie" Ayala and Hector Ayala, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren along with many siblings, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

On Saturday July 11, 2020 there will be a Graveside Funeral Service at Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens, Immokalee beginning at 1:00 pm with Father Ignacious officiating.  Burial will follow.
